The field of nutrition has grown tremendously over the last decade, producing an abundance of diet structures and informational resources. However, nutrition extends beyond the food items we eat, it includes when, where and how we eat. Improving one's nutrition has a direct impact on overall health and well being, and can even be used to improve certain chronic illnesses.
We understand that with the overwhelming amount of fad diets and nutrition gurus available, nutrition can be difficult to navigate. Luckily, our in-house Registered Dietitian makes nutrition less anxiety-inducing with simple, evidence based practices.
Empire Fitness is pleased to have our very own in-house Registered Dietitian (RDN) on staff. Alexa holds her BS in Biology & Health Studies, BS in Nutrition & Dietetics and MS in Nutrition Education. Currently, Alexa specializes in oncology nutrition however has a background in acute rehabilitation and critical care.
Alexa has experience in private nutrition counseling, having worked with clients seeking help with general health & wellness, weight management, and sports & performance. Alexa has a "life-first" approach to counseling, prioritizing clients' hectic schedules, family balance and responsibilities when creating clients' nutrition plans.
